The 1902 Crown is an important piece of British numismatic history, struck during the reign of King Edward VII. On the obverse, it features a mature portrait of King Edward VII facing right, designed by George William de Saulles. The reverse displays St. George slaying the dragon within a garter inscribed with the motto “HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE,” which translates to “Shame on him who thinks evil of it.”
