An exceptional 1855 penny bearing the OT (Oldham/Taylor) engraver initials, graded About Uncirculated. This outstanding specimen exhibits virtually pristine surfaces with only the most minimal wear visible under close examination. Victoria's portrait on the obverse displays full striking sharpness with exceptional detail, whilst the reverse Britannia figure is rendered with remarkable clarity throughout. Original mint lustre persists prominently across both sides, imparting a distinctive reflective quality. The fields remain largely unblemished with only trivial contact marks. A significant rarity for specialists collecting engraver varieties and representing one of the finest examples achievable from this scarce early Victorian date.
