1838 MAUNDY TWOPENCE ( NF )

A scarce Victorian Maundy twopence from 1838, struck during the early years of Queen Victoria's reign. Maundy coins were traditionally distributed by the monarch on Maundy Thursday to the deserving poor, making them historically significant pieces of British numismatic heritage.

This example is graded NF (Nearly Fine), showing light wear consistent with its age and ceremonial purpose. The obverse displays Victoria's young portrait, whilst the reverse features the denomination and date clearly visible.
