A scarce wartime halfpenny in uncirculated condition, struck during the Second World War when copper was reserved for munitions. This 1942 example displays sharp detail across both obverse and reverse, with lustre characteristic of coins that have remained carefully preserved since issue. The reverse features the traditional wren design, whilst the obverse bears the profile of King George VI. An excellent addition to any British decimal or pre-decimal collection, offering both historical significance and numismatic quality.
