An impressive 1847 penny graded Extremely Fine, representing exceptional preservation from the early years of Victoria's reign. The obverse displays the Queen's profile with outstanding sharpness and virtually no wear, retaining full striking detail throughout. The reverse Britannia figure is equally impressive, with the seated pose, trident, and shield all rendered with exceptional clarity and definition. Only the slightest friction is evident on the highest relief areas, whilst the fields remain largely unmarred. Original mint lustre persists in protected recesses, enhancing visual appeal. A significant specimen for collectors pursuing early Victorian pennies and demonstrating the superior quality achievable within the EF grade from this scarce date.
