A scarce Bank Token from the Napoleonic era, issued during the shortage of standard silver coinage. This 1812 Shilling Sixpence displays excellent detail with clear lettering and design elements characteristic of the period. Graded in Very Fine condition, it shows light wear consistent with circulation but retains strong definition across both obverse and reverse. Bank Tokens were emergency currency issued by the Bank of England between 1811 and 1816 to address the silver coin shortage. This example represents an important piece of British monetary history and numismatic interest. A desirable addition to any collection of Georgian-era tokens or British silver.
