1689 MAUNDY FOURPENCE ( VF )

A scarce example of this historic English silver coin, struck during the reign of King James II. Maundy money was traditionally distributed by the monarch on Maundy Thursday to the poor, making these pieces both numismatically significant and steeped in royal tradition. This fourpence displays excellent detail with clear legends and a well-defined portrait. The VF (Very Fine) grade indicates strong preservation with only light wear consistent with careful handling and storage over three centuries.
