1953 PENNY ELIZABETH II ( AUNC)

A scarce early-reign penny from the coronation year of Queen Elizabeth II. This 1953 example displays excellent preservation in Almost Uncirculated condition, with minimal wear to the highest points and strong lustre remaining. The obverse features the young laureate profile of Elizabeth II, whilst the reverse shows Britannia seated with trident and shield. A desirable addition to any British decimal or pre-decimal collection, representing a significant year in modern numismatic history.
