This 1859 penny represents a fine example of early Victorian coinage, graded Good Very Fine with impressive preservation for a coin of such antiquity. The obverse displays Queen Victoria's left-facing effigy with sharp definition, whilst the reverse features Britannia in seated pose with trident and shield rendered in clear detail. Wear is minimal and confined to the highest points, with the fields maintaining considerable sharpness. The coin exhibits an attractive natural patina developed over 165 years of existence. A noteworthy specimen for collectors seeking quality examples from the opening decade of Victoria's reign.
