1794 NORTHAMPTON HALFPENNY TOKEN

A scarce 18th-century halfpenny token from Northampton, dated 1794. This copper piece represents local commerce during the Industrial Revolution, when merchants issued their own tokens as small change. An excellent addition to any British numismatic collection or local history archive.
