A scarce Georgian sixpence from 1757, struck during the reign of George II. This example displays very fine condition with clear definition to the obverse portrait and reverse shield of arms. The coin retains good lustre and shows only light wear consistent with circulation during the 18th century. An excellent addition to any collection of British silver coinage, representing a significant year in British history. Sixpences of this era are increasingly difficult to locate in superior grades.
