1694 HALFPENNY ( VF )

A scarce and highly collectable 1694 copper halfpenny from the reign of William III and Mary II, graded Very Fine (VF). This attractive late 17th-century British coin features the iconic conjoined busts of William and Mary on the obverse, with Britannia seated holding a spear on the reverse.

The obverse legend GVLIELMVS ET MARIA surrounds the royal portraits, while the reverse displays Britannia seated left with the date 1694 clearly visible below. Despite over three centuries of age, this example retains strong detail throughout, particularly in the main devices, legends, and date.

The coin displays an appealing dark brown aged copper tone with honest circulation wear consistent with the VF grade. A desirable piece of early milled British copper coinage and an excellent addition to any collection of Stuart, pre-decimal, or historical British coins.
